Macbeth and Lady Macbeth’s Ambition The driving force to achieve the Macbeths’ goals was ambition. However, because they were solemnly ambitious at the same aptitude, it caused them not to fully achieve their goals, as one was always more or less ambitious than the other. Ambition is a characteristic of human nature, which, if expressed in an evil manner, can corrupt the entire person, leaving them permanently evil. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth are great examples of these types of people. In William Shakespeare’s â€Å"Macbeth,† they are torn apart due to their excessive hunger for power and reign. Macbeth starts to take control when he slaughters the guards. Lady Macbeth was not ready for this brutality and for a little while Macbeth is in control of the situation. From that point, he goes from strength to strength and plans the deaths of Banquo and Fleance. The only weakness shown there is that he had to get hit men to do it, he could not kill his best friend himself. Macbeth is in control and very powerful until the banquet scene. As he starts to go mad, at the guilt of his crimes, and tries to rebuke the spirit of Banquo, Lady Macbeth, tries to redirect everyone’s attention and masks the situation by saying he was feeling ill. This is the last time in the play that Lady Macbeth is able to become the more powerful of the two. After the banquet scene Macbeth goes from strength to stre ngth again, and having Macduff’s family killed is a sign of this. When our forefathers overcame the colonial reign of the British Empire, they formed the United States of America based on the premise of enlightened ideals promoting life, ownership of land, and liberty. But after the revolution, the country’s problems were far from solved. The country’s post-revolution issues sparked a Civil War, which was followed by a reconstruction. In some ways, the Civil War and Reconstruction helped the United States accomplish its original goals, but in many ways, that was not the case. In fact, America’s problems had only just begun. After the Civil War, the country needed to be reconstructed for a few reasons. First of all, much of the Confederate land was now wrecked, with farms and plantations burned down and crops destroyed. People were using now illegitimate confederate money and local governments were in disarray. Former confederates needed to be effectively incorporated back into the Union. Most importantly, slaves were now freedmen and needed to be integrated back into society. The United States was a â€Å"new nation,† that, for the first time was â€Å"wholly free† (Foner 477). But with the abolishment of slavery, â€Å"What is the true definition of freedom?† became a central question in the nation. Black people in America after the war were facing intense scrutiny, racist ideologies and bigotry that was still very prevalent throughout the country. In 1865, Congressman James A. Garfield asked, â€Å"Is it the bare privilege of not being chained? If this is all, then freedom is a bitter mockery, a cruel delusion† (Foner 477). The Spanish Alphabet Words are made up of letters, so its only logical that you begin by learning the Spanish alphabet. Its very similar to English, with a few exceptions, and there are some special pronunciations youll need to know. Many languages—Spanish included—use stress and accent marks to guide pronunciation. Since English is one of the few that doesnt, this can be one of the more challenging aspects of learning Spanish. Words and Phrases for Beginners Rather than dive right into the finer points of Spanish grammar, lets start with some basic vocabulary lessons. By learning simple things like the words for various colors and family members, you can feel a little sense of achievement right from the start. Greetings are among the first lessons in any Spanish class. When you can say hola, gracias, and buenos dias, you have a great start to any conversation. Likewise, if your ultimate goal is simple conversations to use on vacation, you may need a few common phrases. Asking for directions, for instance, can be very important for your travels. You might also need to read or ask for the time to keep your itinerary on track. Its not a bad idea to give the four seasons a quick study, either. Working With Nouns in Spanish Two rules stand out when using Spanish nouns. The most unique to English speakers are the masculine and feminine forms. Every Spanish noun has an inherent gender assigned to it, even if the subject is of the other gender. Quite often, the feminine will end with an -a  and will use the articles  una, la, or las  rather than the masculine  un, el, or los. The other rule of Spanish nouns comes into play when we are using the plural form. This tells you when to add an  -es  and when you can simply attach as  -s to the noun. Further, the adjectives attached to the nouns must agree with either the singular or plural form. Spanish Pronouns Are Important Subject pronouns include words like  I, you,  and  we, which we use all the time to form sentences. In Spanish, subject pronouns are  yo, tà º,  Ãƒ ©l, ella,  etc. Theyre used quite often to replace the subject of the sentence, but there are a few things you need to remember. For instance, Spanish has both a formal and informal version of  you. With someone youre familiar with, you can use  tà º,  but formally its proper to use  usted. In addition, there are certain times when its okay to omit the pronoun. Essential Spanish Grammar Other basic parts of Spanish grammar have their own rules that youll want to study. Verbs, for example, need to be conjugated to match the past, present, or future tense of the sentence. This can be difficult for students, but it is similar to adding the  -ed  and -ing  endings in English. Muy  means  very  and  nunca  means  never  in Spanish. These are just two  of the many adverbs you can use to explain what something is like and add emphasis. Adjectives in Spanish can be a little tricky. Many times, these descriptive words are placed before a noun, but there are other circumstances when they come after it. For example,  the red car  is  el coche rojo, with  rojo  being the adjective that describes the noun. One other very important part of speech is the preposition. These are short connective words like  in, to,  and  under. In Spanish, they are used much like they are in English, so learning prepositions is often a simple matter of studying the new words.

Moth Smoke brings us, its intended American audience, into the foreign world of modern day Pakistan. The issue of preparedness varied among student nurses in their various placement units. Some feared making mistakes while handling the patients. It is evident that clinical students have both positive and negative perceptions of their placements in the real practical work environment. These perceptions can be improved through preparedness from their various learning institutions (Andrews and Chilton 2000). Opportunities should be provided to students to enhance their knowledge and skills through lab researching. The practitioners should also be more understanding to new students to enable them blend in well in the new environment. Methodology and data collection There were four consecutive groups from different placement clinical environments with an aim of sampling 20 clinical students. The data was mainly collected through audiotaped interviews and use of questionnaires (Andrews and Chilton 2000). Ethical approval The study was approved and followed the principles of the declaration of La Trobe University Human Research Ethics Committee. The informants were informed of the purpose of the research before it took place and there were allowed to either agree or disagree to participate (Foster, Ooms, and Marks-Maran 2014)). There was an informed written consent distributed to all willing students. Research schedule It was scheduled to take place in the evening when the clinical students were done with their training session in their respective placement units. Validity, reliability From the analyzed data, it was found that the main areas of concern were; preparations for clinical placement, mentorship, communication breakdown between the learning institutes and clinical supervisors and readiness for practice (Foster, Ooms, and Marks-Maran 2014). Data analysis It was conducted through content analysis of the interviews and review of the questionnaires. Barriers to research Time was the main obstacle to actualize this research, it was difficult to collect data at once since the student nurses worked with shifts. Sharing of research findings The findings wont be shared because the samples were few and also for confidentiality purposes.
